For I have told you
often before, and I say it again with tears in my eyes, that there are many
whose conduct shows they are really enemies of the cross of Christ. They are
headed for destruction. Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful
things, and they think only about this life here on earth. But we are citizens
of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for
him to return as our Savior. He will take our weak mortal bodies and change
them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will
bring everything under his control. Philippians
3:16-21
If you’ve
ever visited another country, you know that there are some cultural differences
for sure. Everything from the money to the food and the clothes to even the
language might be completely different from back home.
When you’re
going somewhere temporarily, you do just enough to get by. You exchange the
currency you need. You learn just enough of the language. You don’t exchange
every penny you have in the bank. You don’t stop speaking English for a new
language permanently. It’s just a temporary visit. Life on earth is just a
temporary visit. Heaven is the believer’s home. Travel lightly! Use a backpack,
not a moving van.

That's a great perspective to always keep in mind. I like the suggestion of using the backpack.
